To qualify for an Eurail Pass Youth the holder must be under 26 years of age at the start of validity of the pass.

Children aged 4-11 inclusive travel at 50% of the adult rate, and children under 4 years travel free of charge.

The Eurail Pass is strictly personal and non-transferable.

A valid passport must be held and shown to ticket inspectors when required.

Tampering with or altering the pass, as well as use by a person other than the one for whom it was issued invalidates it, and a large fine will be levied by train personnel.

A pass does not guarantee a seat on a train or a space on a ship unless a reservation is secured in advance. Please be aware that for certain trains and boats a reservation may be compulsory.

The pass is valid from midnight to midnight during the period indicated on it. A Flexipass entitles its holder to a certain amount of days of travel during the specified period of validity. An Eurail Flexipass traveller must enter the date into the corresponding boxes before boarding the train. If an overnight direct journey starts after 7pm, and you are holding a Flexipass, the next day's date should be entered.

Passes are not refundable if lost or stolen, if partially used or if submitted for refund after the first day of validity or after one year from the date of issue.

In all other cases, refund applications must be submitted to RailChoice with all the appropriate documents. The refund amount is subject to a deduction of 15% as cancellation & admnistration charges.
