changed its policy regarding visa-waiver
schemes. You are strongly advised
to check whether you will need a
paper visa BEFORE you travel. UK
visitors to the USA are advised
that they must have a machine readable
passport (EU style red passport).
If you have ever been arrested you
should seek advice from the US Embassy
before relying on the visa-waiver
scheme to gain entry to the USA.
It is anticipated that all UK visitors
to the USA will need a paper visa
if their passport is issued after
26th October 2004. Paper visas for
UK residents are only issued after
payment of a visa fee and an interview
at the US Embassy in London. |
